Central Park – New York City

Alright, we have more than 10 best places to photograph New York City. It was not easy to even limit it to our 17 best places to photograph in New York City.

We have provided links to the “best” places to photograph New York City. Select a link below to go the facilities website.  Many of the locations are outdoors and are best to visited on days without any chances of rain.

Any camera will work. You can use a iPhone or Android phone and/or DSLR. When walking around the locations it is best to carry light. I have found that an iPhone and mirrorless cameras work best for me. You can even take videos with your phone. I also tend to avoid using a flash. Lighting provided by a flash generally is unappealing and difficult to control. Use a higher ISO number, if the natural light is low.

When walking around take note of the people around you. In New York City sometimes the people are of more interest than the place. This can be seen around Union Square Park, Times Square, United Nations and Grand Central Terminal.

Bring water and a snack. There are public restrooms available at all the locations.
